Allyson Felix

Allyson Michelle Felix was born Los Angeles on November 18 1985. Felix's father Paul Felix is an ordained Minister in the Master's Seminary, Sun Valley. As for her mother, Marlean Felix is a teacher at Balboa Magnet Primary School. Felix demonstrated a talent for athletics early on discovering her ability to sprint when she attended the Los Angeles Baptist High School. Within a short time after her first race, Felix was second in the 200 meter race in the U.S. Indoor Track and Field Championship. In 2003, Felix graduated from high school and signed a professional deal with the sports company Adidas before enrolling in the University of Southern California where she studied elementary education. Felix won her first Olympic medal at the Athens Summer Olympics 2004. Felix broke a junior-world record of running the 200m in 22.18. At the 2005 Helsinki World Championships, Felix was the youngest world champion in the 200m. She won the title in 2007. was able to defend her title by beating Jamaican rival Veronica Campbell. Felix placed consistently in the top 3 throughout her competitions during the Olympics held in Beijing London Rio de Janeiro Tokyo.
