Alison Doody

Alison Doody, born 11 November 1966 in Ireland is a model and actor. Her feature film debut was a tiny part on her debut role in the Bond film A View to a Kill. (1985). Then, later, she portrayed Nazi-sympathising Archaeologist Elsa Schneider (Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade 1989). Siobhan Doovan portrayed Charlotte in Taffin in 1988, and Rebecca Flannery starred in Major League II in 1994. Doody was a model when she was approached by a aspiring photographer. She has since transformed into commercial modeling. Doody did not wear the glamour of thongs, nakedness and nudity in her modelling career. Having come to the attention of the casting director of a new James Bond film she accepted the role of Jenny Flex in 1985's A View to a Kill. Doody was on John Willis Screen World Volume 2 as one of 12 promising new actors for 1986. 38. Doody, who was only 18 at the time she played the part of Doody in the movie A prayer for the dying (1987) which starred Mickey Rourke, is the tiniest Bond Girl to date. A Prayer for the Dying with Mickey Rourke also had a performance by Doody, playing IRA Siobhan. Doody was Archibald Craven's wife Lilias as he portrayed his fantasy in the 1987 adaptation of The Secret Garden. Her first lead role was in an episode from 1988 of the Jim Henson fantasy series The Storyteller as Sapsorrow with John Hurt Dawn French and Jennifer Saunders. She played opposite Pierce Brosnan, in the 1988 film Taffin. In the following film, she played her biggest role yet as Austrian Nazisympathiser and Archaeologist Doctor. Elsa Schneider playing alongside Harrison Ford. Doody has worked with three James Bond actors. Doody was in the British mini-series Selling Hitler with Jonathan Pryce. The film was based on The Hitler Diaries publication scam. She then moved to Hollywood. She took over Cybill Shepherd in the L'Oreal spokesperson's part. Then she played Flannery Sheen's lover and agent, opposite Charlie Sheen, as Major League II became available in 1994. Doody's return to the screen was in 2003. Michael Caine played Doody in an uncredited role. She was in the film with Patrick Swayze, in the 2004 TV film adaptation of King Solomon's Mines. Doody filming a character in Danny Dyer's film The Rapture. She later guest starred in RTE's medical drama The Clinic and was set to star in a 2011 remake of the classic horror film The Asphyx but the project later stalled. In 2011, she started the second season on E4 comedy show Beaver Falls playing Pam Jefferson. The show also featured her in We Still Kill the Old Way (2014). On 21 November 2018 she was honored by the Almeria the tierra de cine prize as well as a star in Almeria Walk of Fame.
